Map of Valtaleggio casArrigoni
Based on the many experiences of community maps, we at casArrigoni have also chosen to question our relationship with the Taleggio Valley, creating our own personalized map, to take you along the paths of the valley's dairy history and to tell you about the territory in which we work.
This map, which is not intended to be exhaustive, but to begin to outline an ongoing path, is based on a cartographic representation from the early seventeenth century, drawn by Pietro Redolfi, and now preserved at the National Library of France. In the new graphic design that we have designed ad hoc, our logo stands out in the hamlet of Peghera, in the municipality of Taleggio, where we have our headquarters. Nearby is the Casa del bergamino, a historic building in the Costa area, where we are planning to open a small museum dedicated to the life of the bergamini.
This beautiful map is not limited to the current graphic design, our idea is in fact to start a path aimed at developing a permanent and always updatable reflection on the relationships with the territory, because we are convinced that the future of our company is strongly connected to the Taleggio Valley. For us it is essential that the value of the typical products, which are a great wealth, is communicated and safeguarded and if with our cheeses we contribute to "making" the territory, with this map we "say" it.
The map also includes some of the pastures, where the brown cows of the valley's breeders spend the summer season grazing on the delicious high-altitude grasses, and the companies that today actively participate in the production of the cheeses that we sell throughout the world.
